Sponsorship

Sponsoring a child at Kids to Kids is a great way for an individual, family, church group, or civic group to get involved. Child sponsorship is a one year commitment, which involves a one-time gift of $150 (11,000 ksh).

Without sponsors, Kids to Kids would not be able to do what it does. The children who come through our program could not go to school without the extra help which provides school uniforms, backpacks, school supplies, and lunch money. For many of our children, the uniform that is provided by donations to Kids to Kids is the first piece of new clothing these children have ever owned. As the children were trying on uniforms last term our social worker overheard one child say, "I never knew I could look so smart!"

Sponsorship is not child specific, instead your gift guarantees a space for one child for one year at Kids to Kids. Because of the nature of life in poverty, children are often in transition. While most children who start the program are able to complete it, from time to time we have a child who's family leaves Nairobi in search of work elsewhere. Because sponsorship is not child specific, if a child re-locates another child is able to take his or her place in the program.

Ministry happens at Kids to Kids because of partnerships with donors around the world. In Kenya, your gift can go a long way towards helping a child make a new start in life!
